The Long Voyage Home is a 1940 film which tells the story of the crew and passengers aboard a doomed freighter. It stars John Wayne, Thomas Mitchell, Ian Hunter , Barry Fitzgerald, Wilfrid Lawson, John Qualen , Mildred Natwick and Ward Bond.
The film was adapted by Dudley Nichols from the play by Eugene O'Neill. It was directed by John Ford.
The movie was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
