Terra Linda, San Rafael, California

Terra Linda is an incorporated neighborhood of San Rafael, California. The county there is named Marin County, adjacent to San Francisco as spanned by the Golden Gate Bridge. Terra Linda is approximately 14 miles due north of the Golden Gate.

Most of Terra Linda was built after World War II and was largely completed by 1970. Terra Linda is located in North San Rafael and is Zip Code 94903. Terra Linda's houses dominant architecture are the Eichler Homes, mostly constructed in the early 1960s. Terra Linda's main streets are Las Gallinas, Freitas Parkway, Redwood Highway, and Smith Ranch Road. Its population is about 10,000.

Terra Linda borders an older neighborhood named Santa Venetia, envisioned in the early 1900s, but not yet (2004) incorporated into a town or city.
