Tavish Scott (born 6 May 1966) is a member of the Scottish Parliament for Shetland. He is a member of the Liberal Democrat Party. Tavish holds a BA from Napier College (now Napier University) and on graduating worked as a Parliamentary assistant to Jim Wallace, then MP for Orkney and Shetland.
Prior to entering the Scottish Parliament, Tavish was a farmer and served on the Lerwick Harbour Trust.
He is a junior member of the Scottish Executive responsible for finance and public services, and also serves as the Lib Dem parliamentary business manager.
