SummerSlam

WWE SummerSlam is an annual WWE pay-per-view event that is held in August of every year. The first SummerSlam was held on August 29, 1988 in Madison Square Garden in New York City.

• At SummerSlam 2002, Shawn Michaels made his return to the ring in an unsanctioned match against Triple H.

• At SummerSlam 2002, Brock Lesnar defeated The Rock to become WWE's youngest WWE Undisputed Champion.
