Sarah Clarke is a contemporary American actress best known for her role as Nina Myers on 24.
After minor roles in film and television, including guest starring on Ed and Sex and the City, and an Outstanding Performance award at the Brooklyn Film Festival (for her short film Pas de Deux), Clarke auditioned for the role of CTU agent Nina Myers, on 24 in 2001. She got the role the same day filming began.
As the season progressed, it was revealed that Clarke's character was a turncoat agent, and her evil actions saw her kill her colleague and lover Jack's (Kiefer Sutherland) wife Teri (Leslie Hope). Although caught, Nina returned in season 2, having been released from jail to sway her into help stop another terrorist plot.
When the show began its third season, fan outcry convinced the producers to bring back Nina - and the other fan favorite villainess Sherry Palmer (Penny Johnson Jerald) - despite the fact that it strained credibility. Nina's actions on the third season ultimately saw her gunned down by Jack, in the very same room that she killed his wife.
Clarke met her future husband Xander Berkeley while on the set of 24 (he played her superior, George Mason) and they were married in September 2002, only a few months before his character died.
