The Fox Movie Channel, formerly fxM, shows both pan and scan and letterbox versions of the movies in their library. Fox Movie Channel mostly shows movies from 20th Century Fox's vast library; however, original programming consisting primarily of commentary about the movies is also available.

The channel was launched on October, 31 1994 as fxM. On March 1, 2000 the name was changed to Fox Movie Channel.
