Bruno Gerussi

Bruno Gerussi (1928 - November 21, 1995) was a Canadian television actor born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, best known for the CBC series The Beachcombers, shot near Vancouver, British Columbia in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was the host of the first Genie Awards in 1980 and the following year presented a Genie award to American actor Jack Lemmon. Gerussi received a Gemini Award nomination for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Continuing Dramatic Role in 1990 for the Beachcomber's final season. He won the Gemini's Earle Grey Award for lifetime achievement in 1996. He died of a heart attack in Vancouver at the age of 67.

The TV movie The New Beachcombers was dedicated in his memory.
